Optional Meta advertising measurement

When this feature is available, you can choose to allow the Meta Pixel through Advertising preferences. It is off unless you separately accept advertising measurement; accepting Google Analytics does not enable it. With your permission, the Pixel measures page views on selected public pages and may use advertising cookies such as _fbp. Meta receives the page URL, browser and device information, cookie identifiers and network information, including your IP address, and may associate this activity with your Facebook or Instagram account.

Our current integration is limited to the home, pricing, about, FAQ and one-map pages. It does not run on account, sign-in, administration, contact, map studio or checkout pages. URLs with query strings or fragments and private referring paths are excluded. We do not provide map contents, form entries, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details or account identifiers to the Pixel. Automatic event collection, advanced matching and Conversions API are not enabled by this integration. It measures page views, not completed subscriptions.

Meta may use information it receives for advertising and other personalization under its own policies and your Meta settings. See Meta’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s explanation of activity from other businesses. This is separate from the service providers we use to operate your account.

Your advertising choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Use Advertising preferences → Decline advertising to withdraw permission. We stop the Pixel, remove our first-party Meta cookies and reload the page. Withdrawal does not erase information previously received by Meta. A detected Global Privacy Control signal prevents the Pixel from loading. You can use Mapform without accepting advertising measurement; if browser storage is unavailable, it stays off.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure visits to our public website pages. It uses analytics cookies and processes browser/device information, approximate location and page-view activity. It does not load before you accept analytics. We do not use it on account, owner dashboard, sign-in, map studio, checkout or private campaign pages.

We send only public page paths and fixed page labels, not URL query strings, fragments, referrer URLs, form contents, map designs or account identifiers. Advertising signals and personalization are disabled. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. Use Analytics preferences at the bottom-left of a public page to change your choice; declining stops collection and removes our Google Analytics cookies. Essential authentication and existing first-party product-usage features remain separate.

Vercel Web Analytics

With the same optional analytics permission, we also use Vercel Web Analytics to measure public-page visits. Vercel Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies. It processes page-view and browser/device information to provide aggregate website statistics. Our integration excludes private pages and suppresses events when the page URL contains a query string or fragment, or the referring URL is not a reviewed public Mapform page. Public referring URLs may be included. We do not send custom events, map designs, form contents or account identifiers through this integration. Declining analytics stops subsequent collection. Existing analytics choices are requested again when this provider is introduced.

Mapform Studio (“Mapform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Modern Textures, Inc. and provides tools for creating, saving, and exporting personalized maps. This policy applies to the Mapform website, account, studio, and related services.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: your email address and, when provided by Google sign-in, basic profile information such as your name.
  • Projects and files: map locations, dates, routes, names, messages, design settings, uploaded route files, and saved project artwork.
  • Contact requests: your name, email, company, selected topic, and message.
  • Seller and fulfillment data: if an authorized shop owner enables optional Etsy and Printful automation, order personalization, receipt identifiers, shipping details, proof status, and fulfillment references needed to process that order.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and request data: IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic or security logs collected by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Product usage: studio opens, generator selection, project saves, checkout starts, completed exports, batch completion, export format, selected layout, and resolution. For campaign follow-ups, we may also record whether an email was delivered, opened, clicked, or led to a purchase. We do not include map contents, uploaded photos, customer addresses, or payment details in these events.
  • Cookies and local storage: essential authentication cookies keep you signed in. A first-party identifier distinguishes anonymous product sessions, and your browser may store studio preferences such as light or dark mode. Optional advertising cookies are used only if you separately accept Meta advertising measurement, as described above.
  • Map lookup data: location searches are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to return matching places.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and secure your account;
  • generate, save, reopen, duplicate, and export your projects;
  • process subscriptions, maintain access to plan features, and provide billing support;
  • send limited claim, expiration, and upgrade follow-ups after you claim a campaign offer, when that campaign enables them;
  • respond to contact, support, business, and privacy requests;
  • run optional seller order, proof, and fulfillment workflows when enabled by an authorized shop owner;
  • prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents; and
  • maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Mapform.

Campaign follow-ups include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops these campaign messages without affecting essential account or purchase communications.

When you use Google sign-in, Mapform uses Google account data only to authenticate you and maintain your account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, or email content, and we do not use Google user data for advertising.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. If you opt into Meta advertising measurement, information is shared with Meta as described above and may be used for personalized advertising across services. You can decline this optional sharing. Separately, we use the following providers to operate Mapform:

SupabaseAuthentication, database, and project file storage
StripeSubscription checkout, payments, invoices, and billing management
Vercel and UpstashHosting, application delivery, security logs, rate limiting, and workflow data
ResendCampaign email delivery and engagement events
GoogleOptional Google account sign-in
OpenStreetMapPlace search and map data
Etsy and PrintfulOptional seller order and fulfillment automation

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. If ownership changes, this policy will continue to apply unless you are notified otherwise.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

You can edit or delete individual projects from your map library, manage billing through the Stripe portal, and sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your Mapform account and its saved projects, brand presets, and uploaded project assets from the Account page. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of other information, use our contact form and identify the request as a privacy request. We may verify your identity before acting on it. You may also disconnect Google access from your Google account settings.

Retention and security

We keep account and saved-project information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Contact, billing, transaction, product-usage, and seller fulfillment records may be kept as reasonably necessary for analytics, support, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, or compliance purposes. Retention periods can also depend on the settings and legal duties of our service providers.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted network connections, restricted database permissions, and rate limiting. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and protect access to your account.

International use

Mapform and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection rules than your home country. Where required, service providers use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Children

Mapform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Mapform, please use the contact form so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Mapform changes. We will revise the date at the top and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.

Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@mapformstudio.com or through the Mapform contact form. Select “General question” and describe the request so it can be routed correctly.
